Canberra political thriller? Why not?

Thumper 9 October 2007 6

Ray Gill, writing in the Age last Saturday, has come up with this interesting, and slightly humourous piece about setting movies in Canberra.

I put it to all those movie directors out there in movie land that Gill is correct in his premise.

Canberra is a great place to set a political thriller. Let’s see one.

I also suggest that Samuel GS takes this up as a part of his election campaign.

There is an existing political-spy thriller filmed in Canberra – the Candleman or something like that.

It’s lame

I’ll star as the side kick to the hero.

Maelinar can be a rapid water buffalo…

Great idea! I’d love to see a movie set in Canberra.

“…Jane Turner as Julia Gillard,….”

Yep, couldn’t agree more: Jane would play that role wonderfully! 🙂

How about “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, starring Alexander Downer and his political dirt gang?
