The Tele brings news of the Canberra Raiders’ victory over the Brisbane Broncos tonight at Canberra Stadium.

The Raiders had raced out to an 18-0 lead by half time. However, in the second half the Broncos scored twice through Israel Folau and again through Ben Te’o to come close to evening things up. However, the Raiders held out and a late try to Josh McCrone with only 45 seconds to spare put things beyond doubt, much to the delight of the 14,200 fans there to watch (including erstwhile Raiders sand boy Mark Webber). McCrone, Terry Campese, Alan Tongue and Shaun Fensom were the Raiders’ best.

The next Raiders home game is against the Wests Tigers on Sunday 4 April.

How exciting. Perhaps they’ll make a movie about it.
