ABC Sport brings news that Canberra have fallen to the Gold Coast Titans up at Robina tonight, going down 24-4.

Tight defence from Josh Dugan and Shaun Fensom provided the only real highlights of a scrappy game for Raiders fans. In the end, the class of Scott Prince and the Raiders’ lazy handling made the difference, resulting in three second-half tries to the Titans.

Here’s hoping for a better showing on Easter Sunday against the Tigers, at Bruce.

If that is how they are going to play, the Raiders should just forfeit away games – its only fair for everyone involved.

Haha! I was saying that to my son while we were watching. Forfeit the away games and concentrate all effort on the home ones.

I think you should have taken another couple of days mate. I was shattered too after the game – it was frustrating as hell. But there were a few factors that were always going to make it tough to win, like the five-day turnaround from the Broncos game where the boys made all those tackles. That stuff showed in our completion rate. Plus, as much as I hate them, the Titans have some quality players; from memory they only lost once or twice at home last season.

I do share your concern about the halves’ performance but think the reason for that is pretty obvious, too – Campo is averaging over 30 tackles a game and he and McCrone are getting a lot of attack directed at them. Hard to maintain that kind of defensive load for 4-5 repeat sets in a row and then turn around and organise an attacking set.

Anyway, bring on the Tigers.

I’ve had 2 days to calm down.

But here goes

Troy Thompson should retire immediately.
Josh McCrone is a very ordinary footballer.
The Raiders should never have signed Campo to a 5 year contract. He is going through the motions and that is about it.
Shaun Fensom is tough. So is Josh Dugan. Some of the hits the boys took were brutal.

If that is how they are going to play, the Raiders should just forfeit away games – its only fair for everyone involved.
