Canberra Skeptics presents: An Evening with Lawrence Krauss

World-renowned theoretical physicist and science-communicator Professor Lawrence Krauss will the guest-of-honour at a Q&A session of Canberra Skeptics.

If you want to learn about everything from the Higgs Boson to the Mars Curiosity Rover, religion to public policy, come along and probe the mind of the one the most well-known names in science.

Professor Lawrence M. Krauss is an internationally known theoretical physicist with wide research interests, including the interface between elementary particle physics and cosmology, where his studies include the early universe, the nature of dark matter, general relativity and neutrino astrophysics. He is the Foundation Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and Physics Department, and Inaugural Director of the Origins Project at Arizona State University .

Professor Krauss is the author of over 300 scientific publications, as well as numerous popular articles on physics and astronomy. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his research and writing, including the Gravity Research Foundation First Prize Award (1984), and the Presidential Investigator Award (1986). His newest book, a bestseller, “A Universe from Nothing: Why there is something rather than nothing”, with afterword by Richard Dawkins, appeared Jan 10, 2012.
