Canberra, the heart of NSW

The All Seeing Eye has noted the arrival on the internet of the “Australia Canberra Capital” entry in

Rather grandly they declare:

The scene of Canberra has changed over the years. Currently it is the heart of New South Wales. Secondly it is also the main tourist spot for people all over the world.

That will no doubt be due to all of Andrew Barr’s hard work.

I appreciate the acknowledgement, though, that the two territories can “loosely act as states”.

If it wasn’t, as Skidbladnir has pointed out, written like that over the entire site, I’d have to assume this was a joke entry… like the ones we occasionally read about Queanbeyan. It really, really does sound like a geography project written by a youngster with special needs.

I sincerely hope no-one every gathers their ‘facts’ from this site.

I did, however, manage a chuckle at a few parts – such as “war of Common Wealth” and that “The Parliament House” is just another “…important place which can be visited”

The entire website reads like the geography project of a Yr 7 student with drinking problems.

“The lands of multiple cultures were taking a good shape, with the contribution of the inhabitants in atmospheric political, economic and social development. Today Australia shares a global fame in the universe.”

“Sydney, the land of metro sexual culture…”

Was that written by a non english speaking primary school student?

“This memorial was built to show respect and honor to the army men who died in the War of Common Wealth.”

Did Andrew Barr write this? Sounds more Coe than Barr.
