Canberra Times felating the property market?

Following on from yesterday’s efforts by the Canberra Times to talk up the property market we now have a story boasting possibly the most dishonest headline in the history of the Crimes.

Soon, only a spare $3m will get you that inner- south address

Neatly contradicted in the very first paragraph: the first $3million residential property sale is a matter of months away.

So what is it boys? Are we soon not going to be able to get any property in the inner south for less than $3,000,000??? Or is the very first luxury property possibly going to tip the scale, if sufficient enthusiasm can be pumped into the market by the local paper?

And how exactly is this editorial line related to the massive amount of advertising the real estate industry pumps into that local paper?

I think the article and headline are better read as soon 3m will be required for the best inner south property – in other words old red hill and forrest.

You can never trust anything in the written Press about real estate. There will be regular quotes and articles from HIA or RIA luminaries always talking up the market. The power of Classified Advertsing!

In keeping with this theme, I must say the space devoted to the ‘Living City’ announcement by the Canberra Times was extraordinary.
