Canberrans on the Move: Seen on the Hume Highway

Highlight of a trip up to Newcastle this weekend: passing a certain deep-southside Rugby club’s van on the Hume, just as one of the Lads leaned over and puked out the side window. Very special. To his credit, he did wait until we weren’t directly behind the van, so our windscreen wipers were not required. Still – good to see the Rugby boys I loathed in high school were only about average.

Mr Evil wins the prize

Perhaps it was a ‘bad’ hot chicken hero

Gastro?

Maybe he’d consumed 100 stubbies in the past 24 hours, which just happened to exacerbate his gastro?

Maybe he was car sick… or maybe he had scored man of the match yesterday.

I remember the first U18 road trip I took with the team I played for.

We won and the coach bought us a case of VB to celebrate.

One of the guys vomitted into a box which only held the solids and the liquids went right through.

Someone else pissed out the window and it came back in another open one and got some guys shoe.

Just a bit of harmless road-trip fun:)

Yes, but surely they’d make an exception. Puking out the window at a passing car and missing? Unforgiveable! And he didn’t even shout “show us yer tits” at anyone, which surely is against the Rugby Code. I’m not surprised he got in trouble.

Really? I have heard a number of people who are in the know say that the ‘good’ players never, ever get anything more than a minor slap on the wrist.

trust me, he was penalised for that.
