Canberra’s hottest and stormiest year?

The ABC is reporting that the Bureau of Meteorology’s 2007 Climate Statement shows last year was the ACT’s fourth consecutive hottest year on record.

The average mean temperature was 14.8 degrees – nearly 2 degrees above the previous record.

2007 was also the stormiest year in nearly 40 years with 38 thunderstorms recorded in the ACT.
