The guy clearly hasn’t done his homework. We already have an ACT Government funded Water Wise program that covers home tune-ups, AAA showerheads, dual flush toilets and a rebate on more water-efficient toilets.

I’d welcome the addition of the other two things he mentioned, but talking about introducing a program that already exists is just dumb.

“This program has been in operation in Queanbeyan for about 7 years, and has resulted in a reduction of water consumption of 18%”

There is only one way a few tanks and shower heads saved 18%. Magic! Pangallo must have a magic watering wand. While he’s at it in Canberra, he should turn a few tankfulls into wine. Is there a candidate who wants to give us more water at an affordable price, when it’s available.

The clear solution is to ban walls.

or do what a local business has done in phillip, tile the walls with mirror finish tiles (try driving towards that with the sun behind you), and put a cctv camera on it.

The clear solution is to ban walls.

So he eventually wants to ban the sale of spray cans to adults?

WOW! I’ve never heard anyone advocate that before. He was doing so well with the whole ‘let’s sack bureaucrats and stop buying public art’ schtick too.

if they want to stop graffiti, maybe the next suggestion will be to install cctv cameras everywhere to capture the miscreants on video.

pah! ban spray cans. what is next? pots of paint as well?

Not in the electorate and wouldn’t vote for Pangallo anyway but I guess the one good thing they could bring to the Assembly is an actual focus on local government issues…
