The Canberra Times is reporting that Andrew Cappie-Wood has been appointed the chief executive of the Chief Minister’s Department, thus making him the most senior public servant in the ACT.
Mr Cappie-Wood comes from NSW education so we can only hope he improves greatly.
Having said that, ACT Liberal leader Bill Stefaniak welcomed his appointment and former NSW Liberal education spokesman Brad Hazzard said Mr Cappie-Wood was a “straight-shooter” who had served his various political masters well.
Just the sort of person Mr Stanhope likes I would suggest. In fact, it would appear both major parties like him.
Here’s wishing him all the best.
