Accident at Kambah

Three people have been taken to hospital following an accident involving an ambulance in Kambah.

Just before 12:30 pm, an ambulance and a car collided at the intersection of Drakeford Drive and Boddington Crescent in Kambah.

Traffic delays are expected. Boddington Crescent is closed in both directions and Drakeford Drive has been reduced to one lane northbound.

ACT Fire and Rescue, ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing are on scene.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said three people were transported to hospital in a stable condition.

The community is asked to avoid the area.

This intersection has seen a lot of terrible and fatal accidents. To be honest I’d never actually seen a police car monitoring traffic lights in Kambah in the 20 odd years I lived there.
