Car going cheap….

Thumper 16 October 2007 8

Autoweb has this article about the mighty Maybach 62, a steal at just over a million dollars each.

The Maybach is the special luxury flagship of Maybach, started by Wilhelm Maybach, who was the designer of the first Mercedes car in 1901.

The car can be viewed at the 2007 Spring Home and Leisure Show from October 19– 20 at Exhibition Park.

And no, I won’t be there. After all, it’s just a car.

Goes to prove, put the price tag on it, somebody will pay it.

Lucky the world is full of stupid people.

So does that mean if you buy one of these, Poland is thrown in as a complimentary optional extra?

I traded it in on a new Maybach 65 just the other day 🙂

Eeeuuu how I hate tacky woodgrain. I’d rather a nice new Holden Caprice and keep the change. I also think the Holden looks better. Not that I’m biased.

I don’t really think anyone that would spend a MILLION dollars in a car would be that fussed about saving a million and investing it better.

They are probably zillionaires and dont think twice about spending a million on a single car.

Be better off taking your million bucks, investing in a diversified shares fund, and using the dividend yield to buy a new Porsche every 3 years for the rest of your life. Then your kid can do the same when he inherits it.

Saw a couple of these on the streets when I was in Tokyo last month. Not that special looking for a million bucks, but hey, maybe they drift them.
