I think you’ll find it was a prank gone wrong on a mate that had drank a bit too much. Much like shaving a friends eyebrow off/drawing on their face when they’re no longer concious.

Shaving off eyebrows, drawing on unconscious drunks, setting people on fire — Oh the hilarity.

Little Britain, Ali G, The Office, Comedy in general – each to their own.

I do love it when the media manages to leave out little details…

If it were like previous situations and the victim was just a member of the public then the scrutiny is warranted, but he doesn’t need to be persecuted over a prank on a mate that’s gone bad by accident.

Then again, he’s a ratbag and deserves a bit of flack anyway.

He’s good value for money is old Todd. Shame no one told him he was supposed to be a rugby player as well as an entertainer.

Carney has no place in footy.

Actually, I think that Rugby League is perfect for him.

Ha ha. Cant help myself with commenting on the fool, but….” LOL, from burnouts too skidmarks”!. He’s stepped it up a gear?!?!?!

Rugby league players are getting better at it, like the bs story Greg Bird made up to get out of trouble for “accidently” glassing his girlfriend.

We love it when you’re angry BD.

Here’s an article of interest for you and any other AFL nerd wanting to preach about player misbehaviour.

I’m thinking his mates will get together and come to an arrangement to make this story disappear like the last one. Rugby league players are getting better at it, like the bs story Greg Bird made up to get out of trouble for “accidently” glassing his girlfriend.

clubs have been paying off stories and charges for years – i could, for instance, say things about the very bogan walters brothers (not to mention names), formerly of raiders then back[thankfully] to qld with the family; but i shan’t… it is very common and has been for many years.

I have zero sympathy for the footy clubs and the league administration who continue to cry poor me when footy players offend and re-offend.

Obviously their dictionary does not have a definition for the word “serial”. A serial murderer continues to murder, so what makes these club administrators think that a serial offender such as Carney wont re-offend. Ohh that’s right, they put short term gains like this years premiership before the long term health of the code.

Maybe they were ‘blue flaming’ and the victim followed through.

Good to see that a season outside of the top flight hasn’t affected his form.

They are only allegations at this point.

Let’s not condemn him based on unproven accusations.

Let’s withhold any judgement until the allegations are proven, which we all know they will be.

Carney has no place in footy.

This guy is a complete idiot. The game needs to rid itself of this loser.

These are still only accusations.
Maybe the victim is a LIAR – LIAR !

A similar story was submitted by toriness – here is their comment:

Seriously, Canberra Raiders must be so glad to be rid of that Carney fool. Here is a link to the latest incidence evidencing his sheer idiocy.

Then again maybe Raiders fans are mourning his loss still? The way (and yes I do realise I am exposing myself to ridicule here) I am still devo about Fev being traded by Carlton.
