A night of opera, a banquet, masquerade masks, some fireworks, and ice cream you say?

Carnival of Venice is a thing that is happening at Albert Hall and you should go for all the reasons I mentioned above.

This event contains more culture than I know what to do with. You could go to this night and fulfil your culture requirements for the next few months, then spend those months watching reality TV in your underpants and still average out as being fairly cultured by the end of it.

Sounds pretty magical.

Here’s the perfect night at the opera: You’ll arrive at stately Albert Hall, and walk into the grand room filled with red velvet, white linen tablecloths and glistening silver candelabra.

You’ll enjoy your banquet and wine with your friends.

You’ll laugh at this frivolous story of operatic intrigue and mistaken identities.

You’ll be carried away by the wonderful highlights from Italian opera: the best loved tunes of Rossini, Verdi, Mascagni, Leoncavallo, Puccini and Vivaldi.

You’ll be thrilled by glorious voices from Europe, Australia, America and New Zealand. Like all of my productions the ladies and gents in the cast of “Carnival of Venice” are all young, beautiful and handsome as well as being fabulous singers and actors!

Kate Rafferty makes a quick trip from Vienna to bring you incredible coloratura fireworks.

The wonderful tenor James Adams comes from New Zealand to join Sydney’s own Michael Johnson and Stephen Coutts from Melbourne. This will be a festival of fabulous tenors!

I’m bringing the lovely soprano Karoline Rose O’Sullivan from Ireland. She’ll be joined by our own lovely Australian sopranos and mezzos in this feast of your favourite tunes!

Here’s everything you need to know:

Table seating: only 48 tables each night. Your own table for eight or nine opera lovers; or shared tables for parties of four or five. White linen tablecloth and candelabra provided. Bring your friends, supper and drinks and enjoy you own opera dinner party. Coffee and ice-cream on sale at interval. All table seats $60.

Food & Wine: Bring a supper as simple or as elaborate as you like, and your choice of wine. Whether it’s a platter of tasty nibbles, or a four course banquet you’ll have a great time sharing this experience with your friends. This is great entertainment value at only $60!

Dress: You’ll have great fun dressing up for your night at the opera. Your choice of formal, flamboyant, eccentric or operatic clothing will add further lustre and enjoyment to this special occasion. This is definitely not a jeans and t-shirt event. Be as flamboyant as you dare and don’t forget your Venetian mask! You’ll live in a world of adventure, romance and comedy for three entertaining hours. You’ll have a wonderful time!

Tell your friends, book a table and enjoy a perfect night at the opera!

Don’t miss out! There are only 48 tables each night.

Indeed. I have written my own release and it goes a bit like this:

Fancy a night at the opera with free wine?

Carl Rafferty’s Carnival of Venice will be a unique and fantastic evening where you can bring your own food and drink, enjoy beautiful music you will recognise and no one minds if you get a bit rowdy.
‘Carnival of Venice’ is on at the Albert Hall from 1 – 3 November. Get a table of from four to twelve people and book directly with the producer. Just mention that Steven Bailey invited you and you’ll receive three free bottles of wine per table. Full details of the program and booking info on website:

http://www.stagecenta.com/showid/798/ShowdetailsC.aspx

or call Carl on 0417429899. Just mention Steven Bailey and receive wine for each table booked and enjoy a beautifully debauched night at the opera!!!

CHEERS!
