Casey, Crace, and Foreshore changes withdrawn

At the Planning and Development Forum last week I made it clear I didn’t believe the Crace and Casey changes were of such a minor nature as to justify the public being notified just through a Technical Variation process.

The Kingston aspect is really about the dispute between two developers in Kingston, and the refusal a few months back due to the DA being for something that was too high.

So I’m guessing it is withdrawn so they can split off the Crace and Casey changes into their own variation and let the Kingston issue stand alone – probably with another objection/court case holding it up.

Well well well – that’s a bit of a backdown on the part of Andrew “Hates People With Gardens” Barr isn’t it? And interesting that he rolled out the CEO and didn’t make the announce himself. He doesn’t like to accept when his judgement has been wrong, does he?
