Catching the bus to Summernats

By johnboy - 6 January 2012 5

ACTION brings word that those Summernats fanciers amenable to public transport can get a bus out to EPIC:

Summernats is on at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) from 6 to 8 January 2012. Catch a regular route service to and from the event or a chartered bus from the event on Friday night and all day to and from the City on Saturday.

On Saturday a loop service will operate to take patrons to and from the City Bus Station (platform 8) and EPIC. Departure and arrival times will be vary depending on the level of traffic between the two destinations.

This is a free service that is being provided by the event organiser.

Ah, the one week my car is in to be fixed and I need to catch a bus, Summernats is on. I live near EPIC too. Not only do I get to listen to cars revving all day, and smelling burning rubber, I get to sit on the bus with Summernats bogans. Yay.

As a trade off for dealing with morons, it’s a free bus.

Excellent idea – if it stops people from drinking and driving it will be a success.

There is something deeply ironic about catching a bus to Summernats.
