ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Higgins this morning (Monday, November 12).
Around 10:30am a man armed with a knife entered Food Works at Higgins and threatened a staff member inside the store, demanding cash.
The offender left the store with a small sum of cash. He was seen driving away in a white Toyota Corolla.
There were no injuries to staff members during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 6’3” (190cm) tall, short light brown hair and a moustache. He was wearing a light green high visibility shirt with dark-coloured pants. His haircut was unusually cut in a semi-mullet style, with shaven sides.
Anyone who was in the Higgins area and saw a man matching the description given, or may recognise the logo on the offender’s shirt, or can help identify the offender and/or the white Toyota Corolla, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
