ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery at Erindale McDonalds early this morning (Wednesday, September 28).

About 4.20am a man gained entry to the back of the store and ran through the store to the front door to let in a second offender. Both men were carrying large knives.

The men demanded money from the cash registers but the staff refused. The offenders ran from the store and left the area in a white Mazda Astina driven by a third offender.

Both offenders spoke with Australian accents, were wearing hoodies and had their faces covered. No one was injured during the incident.

Police ask anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Am I missing something? Didn’t they both go through the same door? Where in the footage do you see any hint of “a man gained entry to the back of the store and ran through the store to the front door to let in a second offender.”?

White mazda? what happended to the commodore?

I find that really offensive. Why can’t bogan crims care about the environment and drive a fuel efficient get-away car?

That sort of stereotyping is really unhelpful.

I’d put money on the police knowing who these sideshow freaks are.. First place I would have looked was into the ex staff register. They guys seemed to be a bit too familiar about the place they were trying to rob. And with Harris Scarfe across the road, Perfect place to buy their “disguises” White mazda? what happended to the commodore?

What a pair of incompetent lackwits. “I’ll rob a store, and wear a really, really distinctive outfit while doing so. No risk in that!”

Surely the cops will be able to nab these pencil necks in short order.

Agreed. I think its safe to say they will be arrested within a week. Pretty safe to say that the persons are known, simply a case of making sure the evidence collected is admissable and rendered in accordance with the evidence act…

Those guys are complete idiots. Hope they dont just get a typical finger waving and ‘dont do that again’ from the ACT courts…

The way the kid in the black hoodie points his knife at the people off camera….Reminds me of a wizard. It’s like he’s Harry Potter and the knife is a magical wand.

These kids are about as useful as tits on a bull. Any money they’ll be in the A-list early next week.

Same 2 bogan jokers as in the Dominos pics from the looks of it. What’s awesome is that some Maccas kids being paid $8 an hour refused to give up the till.

If I were the cops I wouldn’t even waste time trying to catch these guys. They’re way too smooth.

A quick google of Sunwave Style, the print on the back of the black hoodie, seems to indicate that it is a brand carried by Harris Scarf, so chances are his mum buys his clothes for him and will be all “Son, I am disapoint” when she sees his nocturnal activities on the news tonight.

Interestingly, there just so happens to be a Harris Scarf store in Erindale too. These guys are clearly thick in the head, perhaps they’re also thick enough to sh*t in their own nest.

All up though there are 4 stores in Canberra and 1 in Queanbeyan.

WOW! Did anyone else notice that the staff used a spatula to gain entry to the door?!
LOL!

The better option would be for these kids to get off their arse and get a job. I hear macca’s is a good place to start.

Oh, wait….

A real pair of clowns. I reckon someone should recognise the pattern on that black hoody though.
