ABC Online is reporting on a review of CCTV use in Canberra.

Sadly the review seems (on the strength of the Chief Minister’s statements, to have spent all its time looking at other people’s cameras and not at the [near] fatally shambolic ones operated by the government.

UPDATED The Chief Minister’s statement is here.

FURTHER UPDATE:The CT’s coverage can be found here.

The savants of the Chief Minister’s Department have not manage to get any portion of it online yet.

I was thinking of the one in the Supreme Court holding cell which could conceivably have prevented a near suicide if it was working.

But thank you for pointing out the looseness of my language.

‘fatally shambolic’? so what you’re saying is the cameras not working killed someone?
