Is Chic right? Is the Canberra Centenary an event for the elite?

I think the program is full of basket weaving spectaculars – and most of the cash was given to Robyn Archer for a darn good holiday to promote the basket weavers!

What do the rioters think?

[ED – Oddly enough the very first event in the Centenary Program (p4) is Summernats, so I don’t know what Chic’s been drinking but I hope he’ll share]

More of the usual arty-farty /greeny / lefty / ethnic claptrap as far as I can see. With the added bonus of some unique events such as The PM’s XI being played here,Toulouse-Lautrec, and something called “Summernats”.

Chic’s obviously had trouble finding a genuine grip for his Annual Post-Nats Public Whine-Fest (which, by the way, has indeed been excluded from the Centenary program).
