Does anyone have video of, or access to, Canberra TV archives from the 70’s and 80’s?

A friend was a child actor on “What’s Happening” and “Meeting in the Middle” both broadcast on Capital 7 in the 70’s and 80’s.

My friend has a really crappy copy of a maybe 8mm film of their claim to fame and it didn’t transfer to video very well at all.

Anyone?

Sadly, no make that stupidly, Channel 7 threw a lot of their material out to the tip. I know this because a great many Bathurst races ended up there and are lost to us forever so if they were prepared to throw those out then you can bet a lot of other programs went with them.

MWF, maybe try the Natn Film and Sound Archive?

Thanks Felix. Just went to You tube and found the beautiful Karin Barlin and Frank Jones in an ad for the Monaro Mall circa 1981:

Another one from about 1973. Good stuff:

No video sorry, but I remember some slogans.

Super 7, super 7!
Capital 7

And the lovely newsreader Karen Barlin. Wonder whatever happened to her?
