The man who died after being stabbed in Charnwood over the weekend has been identified as Frankie Victor Prineas. His name has been released after a court suppression order expired at 5:00 pm this afternoon (16 January).

Frankie’s family and friends are holding a Cruise for Frankie on Saturday, 1 February to pay respects to the 27-year-old who was heavily involved in the car community.

Frankie’s father, Victor, said he was a proud parent whose son was taken way too soon.

“Frankie was a son that any parent would have been extremely proud of. My wife and I would like to thank our entire family and our beautiful friends who are here for us in this most difficult time,” he said.

“Losing a child is not something any parent should go through and I would not wish this pain on anyone.

“We have attended the first day in court where we hope, ultimately, Frankie will get the justice he deserves.

“We ask that you respect our privacy at this time as we grieve for Frankie.”
