This time having seen Tony Abbott get all hairy chested on the subject of “pairs” in the hung House of Representatives Zed is refusing to stand down one of his number as Mr Stanhope’s long holiday intrudes into a sitting week of the Legislative Assembly.
Only the numbers are nowhere near as tight in the London Circuit Soviet. Labor has more seats than the Liberals and the Greens have a clean block balance of power.
So it’s just unthinking mimicry, albeit drawing attention to the absentee Chief Minister.
