Children's Book Week kicks off this Saturday

The Children’s Book Council of Australia are running this years Children’s Book Week, which will take place between the 17th and 23rd of August.

This year’s theme is “Read Across the Universe”.

“We’re celebrating this year’s Children’s Book Week with a range of Story Time activities held across our libraries,” Karen Hansen, Acting Director, Libraries ACT said today.

“Two Story Time sessions at Tuggeranong Library will tie in with the Read Across the Universetheme by incorporating words used in different languages in the stories, including Italian, Hindi, Tamil and Indonesian.

“Other exciting Story Time activities held for Children’s Book Week include night time sessions, a Sing Across the Universe session and a family read-in session.
