A 32-year-old Chisholm man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today after he allegedly contacted a woman hundreds of times within two weeks.
The woman, who resides in Queensland and does not know the alleged offender, began receiving text messages on June 7 from the man, who would text or call her up to 30 times a day.
ACT Policing Criminal Investigations Detectives executed a search warrant on the home of the man about 7pm last night (Tuesday, June 21), seizing a number of mobile phones.
The man was located by police about 8.20pm in Kambah and arrested. He has been charged with Stalking and Use a carriage service to menace or harass and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where police will be opposing bail.
