Sorry, Imageshack just won’t work for me. Maybe next christmas.

Someone was on the radio this morning saying that they had done their house up to do teh xmas lights to music like that famous one
http://alt.coxnewsweb.com/daytondailynews/video/christmaslights.wmv

Apaprently it was in Banks and you tuned into 92.0FM to hear the music.

I didn’t get the street name though.
Anyone know what it is?

Thanks caf and Jonathon. I’ve already emailed the images to riotact’s general email address, but if I can find time today I’ll go the imageshack route to save the admins the trouble.

Spitfire: I put a comment in the FAQ thread a while ago on how to post an image here using Imageshack.

My wife has always made me drive past a place on de salis st in weetangera, and its only recently that i discovered it belongs to former MLA Dave Rugendyke. He turns his garage into a santa’s grotto and apparently sits in there every night, dressed as santa claus giving out treats to kids who visit.

He and his wife have been doing this for years or so i’m lead to believe & have fostered dozens of kids.

@Spitfire3:

You can always host photos at:
http://imageshack.us/
http://flickr.com/

Then you simply link back to where you may` have hosted them.

Without any reference, email them to Johnboy or the RiotACT generic email addy. They’ll either decide to ignore you, or may suffer the indignity of being your webhosting bitch.

Or you could google the question. I’d pick the latter if you have higher than average internet working skills (aka can use ebay).

Mæl, I have some photos my phone took, with my assistance, of the Amagula Av location. I don’t have an image hosting account, so how do I get em on here?

Dark and, it’s on Amagula Avenue in Ngunnawal. I think it’s on the Corner of Amagula and Shara Pl. Not sure, but if you drive the length of Amagula without seeing it, you’re there at the wrong time. I think the owners turn everything on at 8:30. Can anyone confirm this?

Any of our proudly fanatical camera buffs prepared to do the unthinkable and face numerous carbon trading accusations by driving around and taking photos to upload ?

I’ll offer carbon offsets to those who take digital shots, thus offsetting the carbon miles of photo printing materials.

Where in Ngunnawal, Proud Local? I’ve looked for lights there before, and I’ve never managed to find the same place two years running. The joint is like some sort of science experiment maze!

um, the stars? just look up. and they’re there all year…

Does the lady on Walker Cres, Griffith still do her lights?

The Ngunnawal one can’t be beaten I’m afraid. Took the dude 3 months to setup and it shows. Simply quite over the top.

Anyone who has extravagant Christmas lights is a climate change fascist.

Yes, it starts off with one set of fairy lights and before you know it they’re advocating an authoritarian hierarchical government.

Slavin Place is Gordon is brilliant, as usual.

Anyone who has extravagant Christmas lights is a climate change facist.

Last year I saw a street in, I think it was Banks. It was on a hill, so you could see it coming down Drakeford Dr. Pretty spectacular.

There’s a house in Bingley Cres in Fraser that always does an awesome job, but this year their doing renovations, so no lights til next year.

There’s a pretty awesome effort in Amagula Ave, Ngunnawal.
