Cirque du Soleil coming back

The NCA warns that Cirque du Soleil will be taking up the carpark opposite Questacon from 15 September.

Is it just me or are we seeing a lot more of this act in town?

Are they faking it in the provinces now or just finding Canberra to be a good market?

Felix,

I take it you’re between 2 and 12, are buying a seat in the worst category, and plan to go to a matinee on a Wed or Thu. They’re the only tickets for $35 😛

Adult tickets range between $55 to $270.00.

Ha ha a bit older than 12 actually! I hadn’t checked the prices, rather I was just relying on an advertorial I glimpsed at in The Canberra Times or The Chronicle where it said tickets from $35. As far as distance from the stage, last year I was sitting up near the back in the ‘cheap seats’ (thinking back I think the price then was about $55) and I thought the view was fine. It’s not like Homebush Stadium, it’s just an oversize tent that you share with a couple of hundred others.

“A Cirque Du Soleil performer has pleaded not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court to allegedly exposing himself to a female cleaner at a Griffith serviced apartment, in Canberra’s inner south.

It’s alleged that while Italian national Giuseppe Bello was staying at the Pinnacle Apartments last month, he removed his towel and rubbed his groin against the woman.

He was charged with an act of indecency without consent and common assault.

He appeared in court today where his lawyer requested Bello report to Victorian Police as he’s now based in Melbourne.

He’s due back in court next month.”

What happened to this gentleman? Was it ever reported? I wonder whether he is still on staff.

I hate clowns. They scare me.

$35? I’m sure I paid at least double that last time. 🙁 Worth it though, was a great show.

I’ll probably go if I remember what date it’s on. Ticket prices are reasonable at around $35, good value entertainment I reckon. The last one was pretty good I thought.

as mentioned, they run a number of shows. so seeing two different shows taking up one space isn’t such a big deal. we see floriade every year, and that’s no big deal. and it’s more or less the same thing.

Considering they have been advertising continuously since the start of June, ticket sales haven’t been so hot the second time around, even though it is a different show to last time.
