ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged ‘glassing’ incident in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 5) which left a 19-year-old man with lacerations to his face.
Around 3am Sunday, police were called to a night club in the city in relation to an altercation between two men. Prior to police arriving it is believed that a 19 year-old man was hit in the face with a glass by an unknown male.
The victim was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance for a number of small lacerations to his head and a laceration to his hand.
The offender is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 173cm (5’9”) tall, with a stocky build. He was wearing a light blue shirt or T-shirt.
It is believed the offender was in the company of two other men who are both described as Pacific Islander in appearance and about 183cm (6 foot) tall. One of the men was wearing a light grey jacket and had gold crowns in his upper and lower teeth. The other man was wearing a dark grey jacket.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and would urge anyone who may have any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
