Cleaning Up Vacant Crown Land in the ACT?

Does anyone know who is responsible for cleaning up vacant crown land in the ACT?

In our Belconnen townhouse development we have at least two parcels of vacant crown land which have block and section numbers but no issued title.

One is a carpark, the other is a laneway.

Neither are cared for and have become rubbish tips.

There must be hundred of such blocks across Canberra. Who is responsible for their maintenance?

Technically TAMS, but I think they are a bit busy trying to keep the grass down to a reasonable level. You can let them know through the fixmystreet or canberraconnect.act.gov.au websites – there are forms on each to notify them of any issues. then the city services or city rangers folks can check it out and fix it up in due time.

They don’t have time to check every spot in Canberra, particularly lane ways and areas not visible from the street – if you ‘don’t tell them you can’t assume that they even know there is a problem.
