Closing Angle Crossing Road

Territory and Municipal Services are giving notice that Angle Crossing Road is being closed for five weeks:

The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users that Angle Crossing Road between the Monaro Highway and 400 approximately metres west of the Murrumbidgee River in the Williamsdale area will be temporarily closed from 6 am Monday 30 January 2012 to 6 pm Sunday 11 March 2012.

This is to allow for works associated with the Murrumbidgee to Googong water transfer project.

Barriers as well as warning and diversion signs will be erected to alert people of the closure.

This implies that the road has actually been open at some stage during the last six months. It hasn’t.
