The annual Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is here again to celebrate the arrival of another harvest season.

On Sunday 4th May thousands of people will flock to the tiny village of Collector for this community-run celebration of food, family, fun and of course – pumpkins!

Bask in the glory of the best pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin preserve, pumpkin scones and the heaviest pumpkin.

Test your knowledge at the Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin competition, or check out the candidates for Best Pumpkin Lookalike and Best Decorated Pumpkin.

Non-pumpkin related awards are also on offer, including Best Front Fence, Vintage & Classic Cars Best in Show and Best Scarecrow (judged by Tim the Yowie Man).

If you find yourself feeling competitive, get involved with wheelbarrow racing or pumpkin rolling.

The festival also features over eighty market stalls, live music and entertainment, a great display of vintage farm machinery, classic cars and rural demonstrations.

When: Sunday 4th May 2014, 10am – 4pm

Where: Follow the Federal Highway to Collector and follow the signs to the free parking area

Cost: Entry is $5 for adults and FREE for kids under 12
