ACT Fire Brigade on scene at the Novotel on Northbourne Ave, Civic following a small electrical fire.
Fire has been extinguished.
Small fire occurred in a guest room on level three.
Level three of the hotel only has been evacuated as a precaution as crews conduct air monitoring and ventilation.
Two pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus support vehicle, the Bronto skylift aerial appliance, hazardous materials unit and a command vehicle on scene.

Cause of small fire was a lighting transformer malfunction in the ceiling in the guest room.
Approx 30 staff and guests have been evacuated.
Operations progressing well as smoke clears.
ACT Fire Brigade due to depart by 11am.
