Territory And Municipal Services are alerting pet owners that from 1 May all dogs and cats aged over 12 weeks must be microchipped on pain of a $75 infringement notice.
Chipping costs $40.
Considering anyone who actually cares for their cat or dog will already have done this, and the low probability of getting caught, the only people this will effect are complete morons with animals that get out all the time.
Perhaps they shouldn’t have pets at all?
The other question is when can we start chipping people? It would save a lot of trouble.
Maybe on the hand or the forehead?
