UPDATE (10 November) – Great news Canberra! Lynda has been located safe and well.

ACT Policing is renewing calls for the public’s assistance to locate missing 18-year-old woman Lynda Costello.

Lynda has not been seen or heard from since Sunday (3 November) and was last seen in Downer at about 7:30 am on Sunday.

A police spokesperson said Lynda is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 165 cm (5’5”) tall, with blonde hair and of medium build.

“Police and family are urging Lynda or anyone who has seen or had contact with her since Sunday to contact police.

“ACT Policing would like to stress that Lynda is not in any trouble. However, it is important to ensure she is safe.

“Police and family hold concerns for Lynda’s welfare and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating her,” the spokesperson said.

Lynda was wearing an ankle-length, two-tone brown horizontal striped dress, and it is likely she was heading to Dickson on Sunday.

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police in locating Lynda is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444.
