Manuka Oval’s former groundsman and long term ACT Comets player has just taken his 100th test wicket in the Boxing Day Test against England keeping us in the running to take a clean sweep!

Congratulations to him on an unexpectedly prolific test career!

Nathan gets to lead the team in ‘Under The Southern Cross’ again.

Nathan Lyon’s decision to transfer from SA to NSW was driven by his desire to spend more time with his family in Young. Anyone know which club he is playing for?

Plus our Nath has the best average of any number 11 batsmen in the game (20 inns or more).

Having felt personally responsible for the demise of Nathan Hauritz*, I’m glad to see Lyon doing so well.

*I sat next to Hauritz during the second State of Origin game in 2008. After the game I asked him for a photo, which he obliged (good on him). Afterwards I shook his hand and said “good luck in the Ashes”. Nathan Hauritz was never selected for the Test team again.
