ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the theft of a large quantity of copper wire from an electrical supplies company in Palle Street, Mitchell earlier this week.
The four barrels of wire and cabling is valued in excess of $20,000.
It is believed the wire was stolen from the store between the hours of 1.30am and 2am on Wednesday (January 26).
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have heard or seen any suspicious behaviour or suspicious vehicles in Palle Street, Mitchell at the time of the incident, or may be able to assist police with their investigation, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
