Corin Forest is open 9am – 5pm today and all weekend. Snowmaking conditions have been good for the last few nights and the snow play area has a good cover of snow. Snow falls are forecast for this weekend as well.

Snow play sessions are 9:00-12:30 and 1:00-4:30 each day.

The alpine slide is expected to open today from mid-morning following the team’s efforts to clear the track of ice and remaining snow.

I heard talk of you-beaut snow-making equipment going in there, and their website has a piccy of a snow gun. So it probably only needs to be cold for Corin to have snow.

Que? I think you need to go there. A) it’s cold & b) it’s cold enough for real snow.

The snow machine is there, but I don’t think they’ve had much call to use it due to the real stuff falling.

It’s great that they are getting a real following up there. My son experienced snow for the first time there just a few weeks ago. I think he was shocked by how cold he got!

The Canberra Times reported yesterday that:

Parents with children wanting to see some snow in the region might have to wait a while, with Weatherzone meteorologist Guy Dixon saying the next significant fall at Corin Forest wasn’t expected till Wednesday.

We had been planning to go up there this weekend until we read that. Also check their Facebook page before you head out as road conditions up there can change at short notice.
