Are there any decent cricket teams worth watching round here in the summer?

I see Australia have got WI in February at Manuka, but is there a local league, or any professional sides?

There’s no professional cricket in Canberra. however, if you are keen to see something a bit out of the ordinary, ex-New Zealand test and one-day start Chris Cairns now plays in the local competition. In his first match last year he hit something like 160 off 60 balls.

People play this game with their dogs ….. it’s called “fetch”

That must’ve been pretty shattering for the poor buggers bowling for the opposition. 🙂

Just go and check out any first grade mens match or any Under 18’s match; nobody plays sport better than young kids trying to break into the big time.
