Crime in Progress? Call back when they break through the door

The Pratt has come up with a rip-snorting police horror story:

Upon calling 131 444 to report the crime in progress, the caller was apparently informed that police were unable to respond due to a lack of manpower. The caller was advised that anything destroyed outside would be covered by insurance, and that the caller could perhaps ring back if the youths did in fact gain entry to the premises and threaten the caller directly.

Is there anyone who doesn’t think more police should be a higher priority than another botanic garden?

this petrifies me. I live in a bad street, and I am already nervous when I’m home alone at night.

having said what i said i agree with JBs remarks, I would have hoped that a bit of law and order would be a priority for our citizenry

Spot on johnboy. I was wondering about that misplacement of funding over basic services. But then, it’s a hallmark of The Comrades administration. Junkets ahoy!!

he should re-check what the priorities are and get it right. i can tell you now priority 3 is not the 2-3 hours he is talking about. more like 24
