Crime in Weston Creek

Has anyone else heard of a higher than usual spate of crime in Weston Creek area lately?

My house was broken into last week, and two other burglary’s in the street today (only about 30 or so houses in the street so not great odds).

Someone else at work who lives in the same suburb has had a lot of car break in’s in her area.

I hope that residents are paying some extra attention and will consider reporting suspicious activity.

I live in Holder..Havnt heard of any increase near me. I have a safety house and work from home so perhaps my immediate area is avoided

I also live in Holder and am at home all day – but I have had an attempted break in on my house (while I was in the back yard) and my neighbour behind me has been burgled twice. I have also witnessed a car getting broken in to at the old Holder primary school. A friend of mine in Waramanga has been burgled a few times. So it does happen in the Weston Creek area more often than you think.

We used to get Neighbourhood Watch newsletters that published crime stats for each area in Weston Creek….but I have not seen a newsletter for about 2 years so maybe Neighbourhood Watch has wound up?

We found a plant pulled out of the ground in our front garden this morning… Has never happened before. Not sure if it was petty vandalism or if dug up by a burrowing animal.

What a coincidence I had two low hanging branches snapped off from a tree out the front of my place do you think it’s the same bandit or the burrowing animal you speak of is able to climb trees as well.

Get lots of car break ins/vandalism at the two old schools in Holder.

Can’t comment on the Creek but from personal experience it seems you never have any idea how common break ins are until it happens to you or an immediate neighbour.
