Crimtrac bullying

There were questions from Gary Humphries to the Crimtrac CEO on bullying within Crimtrac in senate estimates yesterday.

I’ve heard this is pretty rife within the organisation.

Anyone heard anything else about this? Im aware that there is huge staff turnover at Crimtrac and quite a few other cases.

It will be interesting to see if this gets swepts under the rug like the it did initially at the hospital.

Just read the Crimtrac financial statements. With all of the government savings they could have a look at their balance sheet. With $110 million sitting as a receivable in an OPA special account and $137 million in equity surely this would help fund some of those minor efficiency dividends and save some jobs. I wonder how many other government organisations have plenty of equity sitting there.

shame they ran out of time yesterday for Crimtrac at Senate estimates. Noticed Crimtrac had quite an entourage down to answer the questions. seems the questions are now on notice. Hopefully there were some follow up on the bullying.

It will be interesting to see what other questions Senator Humphries asks the CrimTrac CEO at next senate estimates. Im sure he will trip up…again.

Have you read the CrimTrac page on wikipedia? How much did that cost the taxpayer? Geez.

That’s some smooth self-promotion right there. At least they learned to keep their edits anonymous after ‘CrimTrac Marketing’ got banned for editing their own page…

I guy who used to work for me got an offer he couldn’t refuse from Crimtrac, or at least an offer that we couldn’t match. He was a bit of a sensitive soul, but he was a smart guy and a good worker and I was sorry to see him go.

Last I heard he’d had what seemed like some kind of nervous breakdown, sold some extremely valuable possessions for less than a pittance and was being described as “troubled” by a mutual acquaintance who I have a lot of respect for who also worked at Crimtrac. I honestly couldn’t comprehend what was happening with the guy at the time, but these comments really have me wondering.

I would not recommend the organisation to anyone. Im leaving and I know of many others who are planning to go. No amount of money is worth it!

You are correct. I know first hand because I work there. The current CEO is strangling the organisation. At least now someone in higher places is taking notice and asking questions. Hopefully something will be done.

So your advice to someone who might be joining the organisation would be….don’t? I ask quite seriously, as someone that might be joining the organisation.

I would say that someone gave Humphries the information.. heck, that’s a good way of highlighting what’s going on, and something that should be done more often with those entities that are accountable to parliament/the public.

Staff turnover NEVER lies. If you want to know how an entity is going, look at staff turnover. It says it all.

I was there for 3 years some time back (before the current CEO) and it was by far the worst place I’ve ever worked in so it can’t be all his fault.

Self congratulatory, self serving, power hungry, bullying, vicious…. mention any of these words in the hearing of a CrimTrac refugee and they’ll know exactly which place you’re referring to.
