ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public to help identify a man who police believe is responsible for a number of indecent acts committed in the past six months.

About 9pm on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, a 14-year-old male was approached by a male, driving a late-model silver coloured BMW, as he walked along Hindmarsh Drive onto Streeton Drive in Rivett. The driver got out of the car and attempted to engage the teenager in conversation before exposing himself and conducting an indecent act in front of the victim.

The second incident occurred on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, about 10.30pm. A 29-year-old female was walking home along Streeton Drive near Mulley Street, Holder, when she was approached by a man. The man engaged in a short conversation with the victim prior to exposing himself.

About 3.30am on Saturday, February 26, 2011, a 14-year-old girl was walking along Melrose Drive in Phillip when she was approached by a man wearing a knee length white dress. The man has touched the girl on the shoulder and attempted to remove some of her clothing. The teenager has slapped the man in defence and run home.

In all three incidents the man says to the victims that he has been at a cross dressing party.

The offender is described as a Caucasian male, aged in his mid 20s to early 30s, between 165cm (5’5”) and 170cm (5’7”) tall, with a slim build and a shaved brown head.

In the first incident the offender was wearing an open, brown waist-length coat with pink underwear underneath and a beret. In the second incident the man was wearing a black beret, a grey coloured mid-thigh- length overcoat with peach or pale pink coloured underwear underneath and strappy high heeled shoes.

In the most recent incident the man was wearing a blond shoulder-length wig, a white dress with frills on it, with a bra underneath and white high-heeled shoes.

Police believe these incidents are related and are appealing for anyone else who may have come into contact with this man or who can assist police with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Almost a month since the last incident – quite the rapid response from ACT policing!

Also, what is a 14yo girl doing at 3:30am?

A good question.

Really? can you show where I’ve done that?

Equating Simon Corbell wasting time and money on “A”, with Simon Corbell wasting time and money on “B”, does not mean that “B” = “A”.

Unless your a totally humourless member of the PC brigade, with a tenuous grasp on the use of logic in debate that is.

Thanks for proving my original assertion right.

Where is your use of logic in this debate? There was a story about a man committing sex crimes in Canberra and your first reaction was to link it to a completely separate issue (the ACT gov’t moving to ensure that transgendered people’s rights are protected by law) as a way of supposedly strengthening the argument you have been putting forward against that issue.

To me that seems like you are equating transgendered people with sex criminals.

Good to see that you equate all people who have gender identity issues with sex criminals PB.

May I suggest that comments like this lend credibility to the original decision to make sure that the rights of intersex and transgendered people are protected in the ACT.

Simon Corbell should investigate if there are any gaps in the legal rights for the the cross dressing flasher community.

He could ask the Chair of the Law Reform Advisory Council, Associate Professor Simon Rice, to develop terms of reference that would result in a meaningful examination of the Territory’s laws relating to flashing cross dressers.

those earrings are the most serious crime.

He’s probably following in his father’s footsteps; sir or lord or father or admiral or general or chief inspector so and so.

And all this time we thought Bradley Manning was in the brig at Quantico.

PMSL sorry LOL – not laughing about the young kids at all, he has taste in his clothes and vehicle
