CT Desperation Increases [?]

The Canberra Times are now getting people to hand out free copies of their paper. I was approached today in Garema Place by a person touting an armload of said rag. I waved them away and they looked crestfallen. How odd.

Hint: It doesn’t work for Green Left Weekly so it probably won’t work for you, despite the fact your hawkers don’t smell.

Has anyone else spotted these rag tossers around and about?

[ED – CityNews recent embarrasment on this issue contained some hint of a weird deal where the newsagents, not the CT are giving the issues away. Why they would want to do that remains a mystery]

Bring back Beer for google ad clicks, support the site that supports your rants, Don’t make me draw up flyers 🙂

Enough to pay the bills and throw a party every year.

Not enough to actually pay someone to go out and find the news or keep a webmaster in pot-noodles and home-brew.

But watch this space. Some major announcements on that front coming in the near future.

Don’t the Google ads bring in a bit JB?

All in time JB, all in time.

allclassifieds makes money RG.

RA on the other hand, despite over 10,000 unique visitors a month, does not.

So between The RiotACT and allclassifieds we will bring the CT down yet. Good-O!

and Sunday in the Park at Stage 88. Expect Regatta Point to be covered with em this Saturday!

Gorman House Markets for several weeks, Kingston Markets, Garema Place – desperation is the word

No hawkers, but my driveway was blessed today with a free copy of the CT. It even had a note saying “Welcome to your free copy of the CT” or something like that, I don’t know, I didn’t really pay much attention to it.
