Curtain drawn on the Rhodium fiasco

Stupid idea, Rhodium, anyway. Why on Earth does govt feel the need to enter a business already well served by the market?

I have a soft spot for Totalcare/Rhodium. Back in 2003 I got my very first salary packaged car with Totalcare. Wasn’t a terribly common thing to do back then although these days pretty much every man and their dog lease a car!

It was very exciting at the time, it was also my first brand new car too. The service was excellent as was their fleet price and charges. I have good memories.

But they went pear shaped over the years, so, stiff shit and good riddance I say! 🙂

Rhodium was spun out of Totalcare, a Territory Owned Corporation created by the Follett Government. On taking government Carnell shifted the bulk of the ACT Govt’s blue collar workers into Totalcare and then set about gutting it to get rid of them. Her Williamsdale quarry fiasco finished Totalcare.

Whatever happened to Rhodium had its roots in Carnell’s actions and Brendan Smyth would give us all something to dance about if he were to tell us what he really knows about those events.

The mismanagement was born on 1 January 2005 by Mr Jon Stanhope. Who said it only takes 4 years to stuff everything up? Oh I forgot, it was stuffed from the start.. Hmm leadership in common?
