Coles at Curtin was ram raided in the early hours of Thursday morning (19 March) but the thieves left empty-handed after making a dash for cigarettes.

Two people entered the store after a Toyota sedan reversed into the doors at around 4:10 am, shattering the glass panels and tearing the doors off their hinges.

ACT Policing has said that it was not COVID-19 related. Shoppers were still lining up before the supermarket opened this morning, and the shop remains open to the public.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 (or via Crime Stoppers) and quote the reference number 6511108.
