ACT Fire & Rescue is at the scene of a small grass in Curtin.
The fire is located off Dunstan Street near North Curtin Oval.
Multiple fire crews are working to extinguish the fire which is being fanned by light north westerly winds towards large stormwater drains.
There is no threat to homes in the area.
ACT Fire & Rescue has received approximately 40 calls to emergency triple zero (000).

The fire has been contained and extinguished.
Firefighters are now blacking out the area which is around 100 metres x 60 metres.
The cause is unknown.

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service is now conducting a hazard reduction burn at the site of the fire.
The fire site now covers an area of around 6 hectares.
Temporary smoke cover may occur. Every effort is made to conduct the burns in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay
inside if affected by the smoke.People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
