Media Spy reports that Danielle Post has been given the nod to take over from Jessica Good when the incumbent departs on 27 August.

The search for a new anchor in Canberra began after Good told the station that she did not intend to renew her three-year deal. TSR understands that Lachlan Kennedy, a sports presenter and regular substitute presenter, was not in the frame to be Good’s replacement.

Post began her television news career at Prime News, before making the switch to WIN. As a member of WIN’s presenting team, Post has taken on fill-in presenting roles for WIN bulletins in several markets, including Canberra.

One wonders if the punters will be able to tell the difference?

While sorry to see the lovely Jessica leave, I am so glad the position was not taken by the woeful Erin Molan.

If I hear ‘Sara Moanee’, rather than Ceremony, again on the WIN News I will scream!

Best of luck in your new life Jessica. I, for one, will miss your flawless delivery.
