Last night saw a new anchor for WIN News in the form of Danielle Post. “canberratelevision” has posted the highlights to YouTube.

What did you think Canberra?

As an advertiser I can tell you the figures i’ve been given show the news was the highest rating show on commercial tv all last week.

It’s the Grey’s report. Don’t know if it’s online.

She needs to slow down her delivery as it seems a little rushed. Jessica had her pace down pat….she did learn from a great after-all.
WIN News has gone down hill over the past few months with the NSW stories filling the bulletin. I’m also over the national political wraps each night that also seem to be filling time instead of telling the stories of the people that live here in Canberra.
Expect one former WIN staffer to pop up again elsewhere around Canberra. Expect an announcement tomorrow.

You mean Jorian Gardner moving to 2cc?

Also as someone who doesn’t live in Canberra I like hearing about NSW.

All through the bulletin I was yelling at her to stop moving her arms. What the hell? This constant rapid sideways motion particularly with her left arm. I could understand if it were slow and regular that it may well be braile or some trick to keeping her place on the script, but it’s just too random.
Her delivery too seems to ignore any punctuation. Very awkward, placement of breaths and pauses, no real structure. Where emphasis is added to a sentence, it’s in the wrong place.

Hate to be critical but frankly there is a multitude of talented on-air talent in this country, why is the nations capital lumped with 2nd rate talent.

She’s no Good.

*bow*

I’ll collect the ‘pun of the year’ award on my way out. 🙂

She had me at “the mission to improve the tenderness of meat”

She needs to relax and smile a bit, but that could have been the day one nerves.. I was wondering if the 3 or 4 NSW stories to open the bulletin was to help her settle in or if it was just a coincidence.

Gotta love credible journalism

They may be blonde, but they are certainly not bimbos.

When it started and the first three segments were non-Canberra stories I thought “they’ve scrapped the Canberra news altogether and brought back permanently that Wollongong/Southern NSW bulletin we suffered over Christmas/New Year. It was only when Lachlan Kennedy appeared with the sports segment that I realised that it was still coming out of Kingston. Are we going to see more Wollongong/South Coast stories padding out the bulletin in future? Everybody knows that Bermuda (tax haven) based WIN is a notoriously tight-fisted bunch but surely padding out bulletins with interstate fluff is taking cost-cutting altogether too far.

She’s ok, I guess… 🙁

Is it just me or do some newsreaders look like they’re reading braille while they talk?

Raspy…!

She doesn’t smile as much as Jessica did but I’m sure she will ease into the role soon. I think she looks professional and speaks well. Good replacement I think.

I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for farting.

She wasn’t bad and I’m sure she’ll grow into the role. Though it will take some time to get over “GOOD evening I’m Jessica GOOD”.
