Death in Braddon

ACT Policing has responded to an incident in Braddon after a deceased male was located outside a block of flats around 6.40am this morning (August 4).

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of his death.

Southbound lanes on Northbourne Avenue between Ipima Street and Giraween Street will be closed while police conduct their investigations.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information relating to the deceased male to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Just drove home and there were a whole bunch of cops going through people’s front lawns on Forbes St in Turner (behind the flats on the opposite side of Northbourne to yesterday’s ‘suspected homicide’) can only assume it is related.

No surprise the incident is now being reported (by the ABC) as a suspected homicide. The deceased suffered multiple head injuries.

All a bit nasty, really.
