Decent place for a 21st party in Canberra?

If you want it to be focused on drinking, mooseheads will give you a bar depending on numbers. They offer out wristbands for people to put drinks on the tab etc. They have finger food too.

Actually that would be a very nice venue and certainly worth travelling south for (assuming suitability).

Not sure if Civic is northside, but I went to a 30th at the Civic Labor Club. You can hire the upstairs room. They had finger food, grog is cheap, and you can get basic cocktails.

just attended a wedding at the Abbey at gold creek, with finger food and bar service, food was very nice, some of the food had you chasing the serving ladies to steal more, not that there wasn’t enough their wasn’t heaps it was just yummy (did I really just say yummy?) some sort of pork/apple jam things had me just about standing at the table scoffing them after the lady did a round and put them down.

I second that. Had a party there recently and it was excellent. The food was great and exactly as you describe it.

Charnwood Maccas, it’s BYO though.

old canberra inn in lyneham had a 21st on there tonight, they blocked off the back pool area and beer garden for exclusive use – i wasn’t *at* the 21st but it looked like a good set up – they do nibbles type food and the drinks aren’t super expensive there.
